Jessica + Chris | Engaged
What a treat it is when friends hire me to capture their wedding! This wedding is super special to me because Chris was one of my closest friends in high school and our families have been close for years. I was so excited when he decided to make Jessica his forever plus one!
Jessica and Chris met in college but didn’t start dating until years later. Chris proposed in Chicago on a getaway trip and they’re planning a gorgeous, intimate wedding in Park City, Utah!
To say I’m excited for these two is an understatement!
As we planned their engagement session, we ran into rain delays, flight cancellations, and then the crazy Memphis summer heat — we almost postponed the session entirely and I’m SO glad we didn’t!
We started looking into indoor locations to keep them out of the heat. Jessica told me she loved the vibe at Central Station Hotel — and boy was she right! It’s a Historic Hotel in the South Arts District of Downtown Memphis filled with all things moody, vintage, and Memphis blues. Since this is where they plan to start their life together, it was perfect!
After they finished a cocktail at Bishop, we headed to Shelby Farms with their dogs to take a stroll around Hyde Lake. Needless to say, we ended the evening with tons of laughter at sunset. I had a blast spending time with these two and cannot wait for Park City, Utah so soon!
