Introducing, Mr. and Mrs. James Wilson!

Rachel and James have known each other their whole lives, as their families have been close for many years. They only started dating after James found Rachel on Facebook and asked her out to lunch. They both knew from the moment they first saw each other that they were meant to be together.

James proposed to Rachel on a beautiful walk on his family's property, where they stopped at a stunning beech tree that still had its fall leaves. As Rachel admired the tree, James asked her to take another look, and she saw the words "MARRY ME?" carved into the tree. Overwhelmed with joy and tears, Rachel said yes to James's heartfelt proposal, and the couple celebrated with James's family before going home to share the news with Rachel's family.

Rachel and James got married on April 30, 2022, at K&M Barn in Atwood, TN with a rustic and romantic-themed wedding. Guests attended their woodsy ceremony surrounded by the peace-filled sounds of nature balanced by the acoustic guitar played by a family friend, Alex Patterson. Rachel planned out every detail of their ceremony, making sure that everything was rooted in their love and faith for Jesus, and how He was the foundation of their marriage.

After the ceremony, guests were invited to a night of dinner and dancing at the main event barn. Everything was so intentional from the huge charcuterie board display, candles on every table, twinkle lights from above — it was such a romantic night filled with so much love from family and friends.

***Side note: Rachel owns her own photography business, Reflections by Rachel, and she’s been my top second shooter for many years now! This wedding was super special to me because it wasn’t just a friend, but a co-worker as well!

It was an honor to capture the beautiful moments of Rachel and James's wedding day, and I wish them all the love and happiness in the world. Congratulations, Rachel and James!
